How can you tell the difference when its not on the car? A lot of people take pictures of it looking down on it - they all look the bloody same!

I want to keep my eye out for one but don't want to end up getting the wrong one!

you can tell rather easy where as the brake light is in line with the spoiler (built in) on the usual 172s , the cup spoiler has the brake light coming under the spoiler if u get my meaning ----__---- < sort ov like that if u follow:eek: hope this helps

Non-cup has a black surround on the brake light, cup is body colour and sort of under the top line of the spoiler, as mark says.

am liking the vee/trophy 1 the best but you would need shorter boot struts for this and also alot of expense haha the standard 1 only looks the best when its in black in my opinion.

yeah backbox was unfortunately the best of what was available at the time (a lot of what is available now wasn't back then) if I'd have kept the car it was the next thing on the list to sort out.

These noobs have no idea lol.

There was literally f**k all for the 172! It was that back box or nowt more or less lol

I think the Cup Spoiler would have looked better from the back if it had a clear lense in the brake light. Looks better from the side.

from the top looking down the cup spoiler has no grove/crease and you can't see the brake light....... for those who only take photos looking downwards on ebay....

I hate the standards. I was even happier I got rid once Renault decided to put an identical 15" version of it on the boggo models lol.

And I'd like to point out I had Turinis before they became such a faux pas on here lol.

everyone that rates standard ph2 alloys are just in denial and too pikey to buy some decent rims

Not true! I genuinely like the way my car looks on them, and yes they look the same as 15" variants but even then its easy to spot 15s over 16s...

I'd rather spend £200 on a refurb of these than buy new ones - Turnis are so boring now everyone has them, they're like the new ph2 wheels!

And when people in the future try to get their cars 100% standard agin they'll be worth a fortune!

Of course I'd swap them for 16" williams wheels anyday of the week but alas renault never made them :(

Pish, ph2 172's look spot on dropped on the standard wheels. Pikey is putting silly flashing lights in your windows ;)
