Cup V Cup packs

Having owned x3 182 now i have a little experience with the car :eek:

Anyway, from studying prices in the last month (via garages) the cup doesnt seem to go for hardly any difference in price to the 182 with cup packs!

So logic is to get one with all the bells and whistles on it...:S

I on the other hand struggled to find a good low mileage one so went for the cup..

But you would have thought the prices would be a little different

Im glad i bought the faster of the two ;)...and dont miss the headlights/wipers/cimate/luggage net/cover under the seat/steering wheel/leather seats..did i miss anything lol

i might get a 182 cup next or the trophy but at the min im happy with the hardcore 172 cup lol

I wouldn't buy a 182 cup. If it were like the 172 cup where there is actual significant weight loss, then maybe.

If they are similar money I'd go FF with cup packs.

Sounds like your trying to justify the fact you purchased the 182 Cup as your current choice to me.

I wanted the climate, nicer finished seats, steering wheel, xenons and importantly a decent range of colours. If I wanted the no frills Clio - 172 Cup is the only choice.

Im a new owner of a 172 Cup had it for 12 days now, a buddy of mine and a clio member also twisted my arm into buying one. Can't say id used the extra's but lovingggggggggg the car tho !!!

yeh i totaly agree the cup's seats are crap, much prefer a nice set of trophy ones in there recaro's

182 Cup = Pointless, trully poverty spec car with no discernable weight difference. I could save more weight by taking a dump.

172 Cup = Poverty spec, but with decent weight saving and 'quicker'.

You also missed: No lit mirros on the sun visor, non sport steering wheel, no engine cover... think that about covers it. Its basicly a dynamique interior.

I loved my CUP, it was quick and very nimble.

Dealers are selling them at the same price as they dont know full spec's.

Privalty they go cheaper, as they were alot cheaper to buy new!

I'd have gone for the full fat with the pack but you made your choice based on what you could its not like the extras add any weight realistically.

It's a cheap 182. What makes it pointless? They're all sheds anyway surely? As for true poverty spec, well that's not strictly true now is it.

I love my cup too...apart from the seats, but they're easily replaced!!

I don't notice anything else at all!

It's pointless from a second hand perspective I mean, given they're not that much cheaper than a FF 182.

172 Cup = 90kg lighter than 172.
182 Cup = 20kg lighter than 182.

Poverty spec? The seats are enough to put me off, as indeed nada xenon.

182 cup was a bloody awful way for ren to try and sell a few extra cars in between.

Farmer country!!! Its nice where i live thanks! I get to wake up to the sound of cows every morning!
Actually...does anyone else have a cow problem?! I have to sit and wait in the morning for them to moved into a field, then back to be milked at night?! Then have the pleasure of driving through all there s**t!?

On topic, wish i had got a 182 with cup packs, but I needed to get rid of my old car ASAP, and this was the only one available. I had to get the colour.

Im tempted by a 172 Cup, only because Mondial Blue is a cracking colour and looks so good with the turinis.

PMSL at the FF owners saying I couldn't live without the upgraded leather steering wheel, I thought we had established that it isn't actual leather!
