Cutting out at WOT over 4k

  182, SQ7, Trafic
As above, as soon as the throttle is fully open it just cuts out and nothing happens until I let off and the engine starts firing again. Noticed its "fine" up until 4k

Cheers

i had the same problem but it was 5k. Henk suggested that it was the throttle pedal so i cleaned the connectors and put it back together and that didnt make a difference.
I changed coil pack, plugs, HT leads and none of them worked. I broke down last week and finally found that it was my cat that was blocked. I also had a new lambda sensor at Renault and was planning to fit a new cat. The cat that came was the wrong one so just smashed my old one out and now its working fine.

Hows your MPG?

I've only just got it back from engine being out and basically being rebuilt so don't know mpg.

I think I'm going to pull all hoses off from supercharger to tb and make sure none are blocked. I have a decat so none of the cat could of broken up and blocked it. It's got to be something stupid!

a long shot maybe but i had this problem too... i had a coolant leak from the thermostat housing and it was dripping onto the tdc sensor (i think) causing it to play up.

does sound like a crank sensor problem, maybe it's loose or has a corroded plug? if the sensor gets or gives a weak signal it can often cause a problem in getting a clean rpm reading, and this gets accentuated at higher revs. pest thing to do rather than throw parts at it, would be to plug in diagnostics, and drive with live data monitored and see what happens when you lose power

Cambelt has slipped again :(

Took it on a short drive pulling it up to certain revs to see if I could find any consitency with anything. Now won't start, fairly sure belt slipped.

f**k this car now I think, going to break it it for bits :(

Does it do it in all gears?

Bit of a long shot, but i'll throw it in anyhow, the pipework from 'charger to throttle body isn't sucking itself shut is it? I've seen it happen on a 'charged GTi-6 before....

Did it in all gears, car doesn't start now

It never did before so has no reason to do it now I wouldn't of thought.

:(Same person who did it before? (not asking who)

might be time to start using a woodruff keyed bottom pulley. New sprocket comes with a key I believe

No different people this time, I'm stripping it and hopefully buy something else you also know a lot about :)
