CV boot retaining clip question

Car  BG 182
I had my mot today, everything was good except for a number plate bulb and said clip.

the tester said I can return to him with the work done in 10 days and he will check it and sign it off for free.

Can I get this clip on its own or will I have to buy the kit? he said there wasn't any signs of grease which is a plus.

any advice would be much appreciated :D

You can get the clip on its own without buying a boot kit.

Or just use a chunky jubilee clip to get it through the MOT. Then change over to a proper one if you're that bothered about it.

I've got jubilee clips on mine as much more durable than the original clips and easier and cheaper to get hold of

I can't remember the exact size but if you have got the old clip use that as a guide and buy one that's slightly bigger so that you can fit it easier
