CV Grease is CV grease no?

  BMW M4; S1000 RR
So my CV boot clip popped off the other day and dumped the grease all over the hub and inside of my alloy. Close to a full tin of BMW brake cleaner later and it's spotless however it obviously needs some new grease before driving.

Basically Demon Tweeks wanted £50 for a tub of CVJ grease (I know they inflate their prices for the public anyway but lol).

Also spoke to GSF who sell sachets of CVJ grease but apparently didn't have any, but also sell a 500g tub (same as Tweekies) but for a grand total of 4.90 (or something funny like that). He was surprised when I told him Tweekies wanted close to £50.

This beggers the question, surely the grease is either suitable for CV joints or it's not...
