Got this recently so here's a pick of the photos I've taken so far. Minimal settings were changed (as I don't really know what to do with them yet!) and they're all taken on the kit lense. Very pleased with how they've come out!

I've put the large size images up, just so that they're easier to see in case anyone can give me some tips if they could be better?

Wish I'd had a longer lense for this one!

Cheers! Yeh I knew there'd be a shadow, but that was pretty much the last pic I took on that day when the sun was low and right behind me!

Ace location, go back at dusk and HDR that churches arse!

Everything is a little too centred for my liking, play around with placement of main objects. The first one would look good if you went right a little but, zoomed in and got the big tree coming more into the left of the frame. Just my opinion.

Still though, ace shots, colour of the sky and the dullness of the church works nicely.

Thanks! I did get a few where the main focus of the photo wasn't in the centre, but they came out a little blurred so I didn't post them. Here's an example (doesn't look blurred in this size though):

Yeh, I did find that it was focusing on objects nearer rather than what I wanted it to focus on. Don't know how to manually focus though!

That looks fine to me, focus is on the logs and they look pretty sharp to me. Compositionally it's my favourite photo of the lot, as well :)

Yeah you can see it in the bigger image.
Just use the AF to get the focus vaguely right, switch to manual focus and have a play!
The world is your lobster with MF!!!!!
