sir christopher i have thought about it...lol
or just sand and lacquer...

soon it will have a full Kenwood set-up (co-axials, headunit, amp and sub), would you believe it didn't even come with rear speakers?

oh and i found a mini-fridge at work the other day, so i may sink that in the other side of the boot, will be perfect for when i get back from riding and need a drink...

Sounds awesome mate.

Bare metal + clear would look ace.

Would look so much more special than it does in green.

Don't f**king tempt me any more. LOL!

Love how the sun hits the colour on das rimzzz!

Either way mate, it's f*cking cool. What winter wheels do you have? Anything special?

thankyou. nothing special on the winter wheels front, not worth the hassle of getting something special just for winter, when i sell the CMYK's off the clio the money will get tyres for the old steel wheels of the passat and they will go back on for a while, i thought about doing something with them but not sure i can be assed tbh.

Don't f**king tempt me any more. LOL!

Yeah, iirc all Bora's had air con standard or something.

When I put my steels on my arches get mullered. Already melted and have warn through all the sealant and can see the chassis lol.

I am tempted to just sand back the whole car, cover it in diesel, and let nature take it's course though.

True I suppose. But f**k it.

Think you should do what you were planning to the steels for the hell of it!

I actually quite like the green there! I do like that mate.

I have to admit in my boredom in Turkey last week i actually bought one of your mags..lol! First time in years. There's more updates on here than your mag..lol

what did you think of the mag tom?

i know there is more updates on here.... but i can hop on here instantly, also there isn't much of a crossover on here...ie to our readers, the mag comes out monthly so obviously updates would take longer,

That's exactly what I want. Grind the paint off, pour diesel oil or something on the body. Respray the bumpers black as obviously they arent metal. Looks fapping awesome! I say do it ;)

I'll be honest, its nowhere near as bad as i thought it was going to be. I had the one with a polo on the front? Not sure if its the latest. Certainly not what it used to be! Far from it..

I think so many people are hung up on the old Fast Car, the one with bodykits etc. But it's not been like that for a long time. I showed this months mag to a few Fast Car haters at college and I had trouble getting the thing back! LOL

been away up-norf the past few days.
just prior to this i made a bracket for my front plate, it screwed into an existing plate hole but then went to one side (passenger)...was ok for 3 days then as passing back through the centre of brum today a crosser (of a crossing) pointed at my plate and done a squiff style gesture, as i got to my location i could here it starting to scrape... then as i reversed into a space the hole plate / mount just fell off... the hole's thread has been stripped and it turns out the plate had been scraping for a while and is now diamond shaped...(bummer as it was a new plate)

so as its proved i am not a peado / stalker type i will have to continue with the plate in the screen before i think up my next plan for a mounting attack

Why not buy an oversized plate, saw it down to the size of one of the outer bumper grilles? Remove grille, fit plate in place with a couple metal brackets behind?

That was always my thought for the Bora anyway...

i think i may look at a square plate for the front, may be easier to mount....

in the meantime, these are going on this week, after being wrapped in some part-worns,
really don't fancy sliding the rotiforms into something and as the lane is now getting more like a muddy ice rink each day these will be perfect.

are you keeping them black or doing something different.

they were satin black centre with a bit of a grubby rim, but whilst down my painter friends unit he had some bronze/gold so using a tissue i brusshed the whole satin black centres with the bronze gold, then got an air-line with a wire brush attachment and took off all the paint around the rims (this will naturally rust), i then sprayed brake / clutch cleaner on the wheels and gave them a quick scotch.....giving the above effect.

What size and width steelies are they?

totally standard mate...15's by 6.5 / 7 i guess

Arrrgh!!

I've got 4 Passat Steelies with 4 brand new tyres in work! Came in the boot of a Passat I bought which had Audi Wheels on it.

Are they any good to you boner?

so i picked up the wheels and tyres of daniel, happy days, nice and cheap, they came from a passat of the same shapeand had loadsa tread on... perfect for winter wheels. I went to bolt them up on saturday, got the car in the air and started removing the roti's... as i offered the first steel up it was clear it wasn't going to fit...bugger, wrong PCD.... not daniel's fault, a passats a passat,

so back to the cottage collect original steels and then off to a tyre fitter to transfer the tyres over, job done, another £40 extra but still cheap for 4 basically new tyres,

I thought all Pissrats were 5x120?

Thats what my mech said when I asked him.

I think the bloke that sold me the car just chucked some random VW/Audi wheels in the boot and told me they were off his car originally! c*nt.

  BMW E46 330i Touring
Ah right, yeah he must have! I'm fairy sure Passats have always been 5x120, certainly for the last 10 years or so.

Some of them have a really really really annoying clip that requires fingers like biceps to take off, to be fair to you.
