well she's still going strong (touch wood)
just plowing on, literally. had a hicup the other week when i come out to find a total flat, was a pain, couldn't get a jack underneath it and then the locker decided to sheer so it was stuck, eventually got it sorted so happy days, also just got a load of audio for it... all the rca wires are in as is the battery wire, however i have to wire the speaker cable to the rear doors (as it was poverty spec, they come with no rear speakers / wire) the headunit is also in, justgot to decide how i am laying out the boot yet then fit that and the speakers throughout.

that plus possibly a new central locking module as thats what goes in these due to damp... and that is mega bucks, ie £800+ if i remember Russ saying.
plus a new window cable kit as it got damaged when taking the door apart this avo

oh yeah and 1 window to be re-tinted possibly as it now has a little scratch in it of about 1cm

Hope you are claiing for whiplash on the insurance as well then, if you are getting neck pains.

Bummer about the car, it never rains but it pours.

bumper has been sorted, the car has also now been fully detailed, shiney shiney....
audio is now all in and fitted also, very happy with how it sounds and how practical the boot still is with the sub and amp in....

what i am not happy about is dropping a roti into a pothole this afternoon, has very nicely marked the rim in several places, completely gutted tbh, hopefully my painter friend can just fix and paint the rim to match...

Love that you have a green VW saloon that needed a drivers door lock replacement, was run into from behind and has aftermarket rear speakers. And the lip of your rim is damaged. Bora Memories <3

At least you got away quite lightly on your wheels, could've been worse I guess!

Ahem... Full install thanks, i never sorted the door lock, i unlock/lock it via the the boot only and the rims are being repaired this weekend, pow, job done,

lol MOT ramps do NOT accommodate for most scene looks

aslong as i get it back in no more than 3 peices then it should be alright...lol
spent yesterday morning trying to figure how to re-attached my front plate, the screw holes didn't match up....

....then i remembered i drilled 2 holes either side for a reason, zip ties and jobs a good'un

Mine was a couple of weeks ago. It was dragged onto the ramps. Slammed the sump when in the brake tester.. I was saying the whole way through that i can raise it but he persisted. All to then jack it up and say the wishbones were resting on the subframe so i had to raise it...oh the joys.

yep pretty sure mine clears everything there, for some reason i did put the roti's back on prior to this... dunno why, they only foul a tiny tiny bit...lol

PASSAT FAILED....

Had an advisory on the windscreen (has a BIG chip in it)
And failed on the tyres catching the inner arches on full lock...

However had a word with the tester and said...
“I will drive it back, swap the wheels over,
I will then drive back here, that’s 10 miles in total,
you will then pass it,
I will then drive back and put the other wheels back on, that’s 20 miles”

Needless to say it passed...

Look great! Shame about the pothole thing and getting rear ended. If you end up selling it let me know :)

Yeah pretty annoying but as mentioned elsewhere a good friend of mine is a panel beater/sprayer so we will be masking the wheels up and just sorting the rims, as for getting rear ended the passat is so tough it was only a cracked bumper, thats all sorted now

you should get a badgeless grill! and go with solid red rear lights, me likey!

I like the blacked out vw badge rather than the badgeless grill, think they look too smooth, the other thing is this car really also owes me nothing at all so i am reluctent to spend more, that and the fact i have another project i should/need to focus all my money keeps this as is
