Dash Display

Hello Ive been reading these fourms for ages now so thought get myself signed up newho I have a clio mk2 with the face lift!! I was just driving along once second looked at the in dash clock to see what time it was and the next minuite later when i went to change the radio station I noticed the backlight has gone? is this common? how do I fix it? do i really have to take the full dash off? is it leds or a bulb?? is it something I could do myself or do I need a garage? please someone help would be greatly appreicated?

this may sound daft but the autohead lights hadn't switched on had they????

my brothers 1.2, you have to hit the radio display as 1 of the LED's is dodgy. take the dash top off its easy.

how do I do that. is it easy enough for someone thats never taken a dash off before. dont want to take anything apart I cant put back. Thanks for all your advise

yea easy to take the top off the dash and its bulbs in there.

how do I do that where are the screws do you think even i can do that or do i need someone who knows what there doing to do this!! I just want to get this sorted but not screw anything up

Where are u based mate? if you proberly have never done anything like this then i proberly wouldnt try it as trims and renaults aint good

I think that what Pete-br meant was that if your autoheadlights had come on the display backlight would have dimmed.

just watch when putting the dash top back on renault monkeys broke a clip on mine and it sits funny now.

right im gonna have a look for that guide!! well if there is any one in east yorkshire or close by who wants to do this!!! i have cash and a pint awaiting lol!!! might aswell take the oppetuinty to convert this to blue lights? what you think? is that tacky or cool? once again thanks 4 ur help. ps... the screen use 2 dim when i put the lights on but doesnt work at all now!!! ... respect

Hey Hey i managed it. ive got got my clock light up again!! Im using a sheet of paper 2 disfuse the light! does any1 know any better material to disfuse light evenley! my next task is to do my speedos!!! aghhh pease!
