dash oil & stop light assistance please

hello, im hoping someone can provide some assistance if possible please.

i have a 1999 mk2 1.2 clio RN, i started my car this morning only to find that both the oil light and stop light stayed on, the stop light was the normal brightness but the oil light is rather bim.

i gave the car a full oil change and oil filter to no avail both lights are still on so im kind of out of ideas.

could it be an electrical fault or sum other issues if so how could i fix it?

any help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I have this on mine , have checked the oil and it's fine so I have ordered a new oil pressures switch going to try that and the car is booked in for a oil pressure check and take it from there.

i would take it to a garage and have it checked out it could be low on oil pressure and do damage where are you from .

im in northern ireland my nearest garage is 47miles away as i live out in the country. is there anyway to check oil pressure from home?

You could buy a new oil pressure switch and fit that just in case that's faulty , that's what I am doing but still driving 30 odd miles
taken it easy to get it all checked out .

mar172 can u tell me were the pressure switch is located on my ph1 1.2? i dont want to take out the wrong thing

I don't know on a 1.2 but mines is on the left by the side of my oil filter you may have to ask again on here I sure someone will tell you
