Dash Strips - Paint + Resin?

Painted my dash strips before and added the airbag sticker afterwards, looked smart imo

Only thing i wasn't keen on is the way the sticker looked

Has anybody painted their strips, added the sticker then gone over them with a layer or 2 of epoxy resin? Hopefully this would give them more of a flush finish.

I can't see there being a problem doing this, but thought i'd check 1st

Would traditional spray on laquer not do the job?

I just put an extra couple of layers of sprayed laquer on mine and the stickers feel flush

Oh no worries then, mine don't feel flush at the moment so i thought resin would be the only way around it.

I might still give it a go anyway, i painted mine a few months ago and they have a few chips / scratches, hopefully with a layer of resin over the top they will be a little bit more protected.
