Daves 182

Bought my 182 on 17-05-2009, 55 plate, 21000 miles, 1 owner, totally standard apart from a set of alloys which aren't to my liking but will be getting changed very shortly. Its my first Renault after owning various Peugeot 106's, Citreon Saxo's and a Vauxhall Astravan.

First off gave it a clean and polish.

What other plans do you have apart from the needed wheel change?

Looks in good nick btw!

Planning on doing a few track days with it so some mods to compliment that.

Plans so far

  • Bucket Seats & Harnesses
  • Slightly Smaller Steering Wheel (320mm was perfect in my 106 Rallye)
  • Rear Strut Brace
  • Stainless Flexi Brake Pipes
  • Coilovers

I think the Cup packed 182 rims suit the Black perfectly

Looks super nice on those Trophy Rims

New Wheels

Update Time

After a few days of searching the net for a set of wheels I finally managed to decide on a set. The big wheels that came on the car just weren't doing the car any justice.

Team Dynamics Pro Race 3's in 15" wrapped in Yokohama Parada Spec 2 in 195/50 VR 15 83V.

They where pretty messy when they arrived so i gave them a wash and a wax.

Excuse the poor scissor jack, its all I have just now, I really hate using it but had no choice, I was going to be buying a new trolley jack but the one i wanted was out of stock, I'll be getting a proper one soon.

First wheel on

I really like that mate! I haven't seen those wheels on a Clio before, they look just right! As said, a little lower and you've got an amazing looking motor!

Spotless... you're right about those rims.

But in al fairness not liking the 'JDM' style new wheels.
To thick spokes imho.

Cars looking good mate, the new wheels are a bitty better than the old ones.

Maybe see you going about Aberdeen. :)

Them original wheels were horrid, like you said, dont know what previous owner was thinking, new wheels look good, look quite similair to Rota's

Agreed. Tyre shine and a tad lower and it will look spot on imo.

Thanks, i'm too keen on tyre shine, I just use Auto Glym tyre dressing.

Much better. APPROVE!

Thanks, the car feels so much better now

Wish it was spotless, few marks small marks here and there, doesn't really show up in the pic's, especially at the front of the rear arches down the bottom.

I love my new wheels but everyones entitled to there own opinion, what sort of world would we be in if we all like the same things.

they are the shizzle, looks good.
