Afternoon cliosport, after having a sudden brainwave last week i decided i wanted a cliosport and then picked this up on Saturday from a guy called andy (real top bloke) I know a few of you have seen this before on here as he is a member but I thought I'd made a build thread to show anyone that cares what's going on with the car anyway after a quick clean this morning at about 10 before it got to hot I took a few pics...

The start of my carbon affair

Ordering my cage on Friday, slightly excited for that!!!!

Fitted them this evening. Didn't really know what the general thing that was used to stick them down.

I used some double sided sticky pads with superglue.

They seem really stuck down well just don't want them being nicked or falling off on the motorway lol

Probably best to bond them on mate with tiger seal or the like. That what i did with mine. Only few few blobs just so that they wont come off unless you push them off from the inside of the bumper once its off.

Yeah after I'd put them on I thought about tiger seal. Ill have to take a trip to halfords at the weekend

Well there only on till I sell my other set thing is I don't want to go down the turini/speedline route. So got to think of another route to go down

Just picked up my RS inlet yesterday off coops turbo. Looking forward to getting that on see how it goes with the cams

Looks great, nice colour.

Do the cage white and it'll set off the wheels nicely, I think they look ok. A bit like Speedline 2118 without being a sheep. Personally I wouldn't change them.

What's the engine spec?

Its a 172 with a custom air feed to a ph1 airbox. Then 438 catcams then all the exhaust is standard. Just need a decat and to sort the inlets out

So I got the DA polisher out this evening and gave her a few hours of work.

Not really took a lot of pictures just ones to show the results really

Dave999 popped round yesterday to give my 172 a clean, unfortunately with the lack of sun this morning and an iPad for pictures it doesn't do it justice! Paint feels incredible and he managed to clean up my headlights, one still needs a little more time but passenger side came out excellently!


Highly recommend him if anyone needs theirs doing, Cheers Dave!!

So i know a few of you on here have said about the car looking better with different wheels on..... So i went and picked up my turinis yesterday washed them, clayed them & then sealed them.

Will be going on today at some point

So today has been a total disaster!

Couldn't get my turbines off for s**t!! So after trying to get them off for most the morning it then got too hot and I decided to pop open a bottle of cider and do nothing all day

Yeah like really stuck lol I was just pissed off as I was expecting a nice quick easy wheel change... But NO!!!

haha i had it when i fisrt got my car, came with steelies all 4 stuck, one big lump hammer on the back of them and they came off.

get some Wd40 down into the gaps and let it soak in

Yeah I wd40d them earlier with the thought of going back out but it didn't happen haha.

Just means I've got to wait even longer to get them on
