looks nice, i wouldnt bother lowering it... they're set up spot on as they are :)

some eibach sportline springs will give you approx -20mm on the cup suspension, and tighten up the handling a wee bit.

they're around £130... and the only option if you want a drop without compromising handling.

Deal with the gap in the arches .. believe me I wish I had rather than wasting hundreds of pounds on lowering to go back to where I started ..

You tell me to deal with the gap in the arches but say you wasted hundreds on lowering only to go back to where you started from!

Yes and I wished I hadnt wasted the money and just dealt with the standard ride height to start with.. because imho lowering the car compromises the handling .. and I would pref handling over looks any day of the week :)

But how does one deal with the standard ride height without lowering?

I think she means accept the looks of the car at standard ride height! She was being a little confusing I agree.

I would take 'to deal' with something to mean actually doing something to change it. Then it would be 'dealt' with ;)

Sorry if I am not making sense ..

Not sure if I should try and explain what I mean again .. lol

There is nothing wrong with the standard ride, renalt spent lots of money delevlping it .. I wished I hadnt wasted money trying to make it look better (lowering) .. when it compromised the handling of the car

^ any better ? lol

PS - when I said deal with I didnt mean lower it I just meant ignore the gap and enjoy the motor . .ffs must be my northern accent ;) lol

I really dont think I can get used to the gap as my last car was fairly slammed and it looked rather good. However, as i've already said I dont want to be uncomfortable so a drop of no more than 20mm is in order.

I suppose i'll just have to try it and see!

Thats better Maz. I got you the first time ;)

In what way did the changes you made compromise the handling? Was it just ride quality on road that suffered or what? Was it bad on track?

Tidy...

Eibach sportlines as said above matey...they are the best all round suspension upgrade without spending a lot and/or making the car useless for everday driving...

tbh like maz was saying your get used to looks of the car like i have with my 182,having experience with cars that ive owned in the past being lowered(2x saxos) i didnt really like the ride as it was very bumpy but dont get me wrong the cars looks do look better if lowered but not alot if you get me....
