de badge of not debagde

i have a bit of nasty dent/gash on my bonnet which i will get sorted soon, it will be a good time to get my 16v debadge if i want to.

what are your views on debadging, is it a good idea? will it devalue my car?

thanks

would say personally that any styling mods devalue the car unless selling to another modder, even changing the wheels gives it that i have thrashed this motor feel to a potential buyer.

I would agree with scotty that a modded cars says "thrashed" even though its probably been treated better than your average car.

Just had a peek at Clio16vblacks and it looks well sweet but on a MK2 172 I wouldnt debadge as the "renaultsport" badge is one of the few ways to tell it from the rest of the range - at a glance
