So today my car unlocks but doesn't disable the alarm, then won't unlock or lock with the key any more. It also won't turn over, but there is light on the dash. I disconnected the battery to try and stop the alarm going off and there wasn't any sparks or even a fizzle from the positive connector, so it looks like a flat battery. But the battery is only 4months old, and was replaced as my previous battery showed the same symptoms.
Could there be an altenator issue stopping the battery charging? And how much am I looking at to fix it?
