Decat/centre section joint sleeve

Hey guys. iv had a problem in the past with the decat/centre section joint having an air leak.
a lot of the systems now run sleeved decats that do away with the olive joint/flare design.
has anyone tried doing this before? (sorry for bad drawing skills, you get the idea though)

Yeah loads of people have done it, seems a good fix.

My old ktec system on my 182 came with a sleeved setup anyway if you bought it with a decat pipe

Are you saying use a v band clamp on the olive joint? If so do you know if the 2 1/4 size u quoted will fit the rs192 system? Also thanks

nope, cut the olive off and weld the vband on.
