Decat fitting shambles

  Titanium 182 FF
Right so i bought a milltek decat for my milltek cat back, went to fit it today with a bunch of mates and got as far as trying to fit the new one until we ground to a halt. Where the Catback meets the cat is a olive joint , we managed to remove that cat but a flared pipe is still in that end and it wont come out, it looks like a push fitting or something. Tried to get a flathead in there and open it up to pull this pipe out but it wont budge at all.
Will probably take it to a garage or renault specialist but just wandering if anyones got any advice, tips or can point me in the right direction.

thanks guys

Had the same problem with my miltek and it had only been on the car a couple of months. spent an hour on the ramp heating it up and beating it about in the end we just smashed it out with an air chisel but means I will need a new piece come mot time. But worried the decat will be stuck in there next time

Do you mean the extra end bit that slots onto the centre section - to make the Milltek system compatable with the standard cat olive join?

It does come off, but it'll be seized on. I chucked mine as soon as it arrived. I expect mole grips and a lot of twisting will loosen it up, then it should wriggle free.

Tbh I wouldn't waste my time and effort mate . The decat makes bugger all difference to performance , the only thing it will probably do is make your exhaust slightly louder . Then you'll have to faff about come MOT time to refit your cat . It's more trouble than it's worth.

To be fair, Millteks do sound fantastic decatted.

Yeah , but sound only . Imo , It's not worth all the hassle of decatting and refitting the cat come MOT , just for a little extra noise.

I know and mot person that will pass with a decat if you show him you still have the original cat, covers his arsenal and saves you the trouble of fitting it on and off.

I got told with a manifold and decat you could see 7hp is this untrue ??

How much louder is it with a decat ??

In all honesty mate if you read around you'll find out that the dash light coming on is luck of the draw really, personally i wouldnt worry about it as it makes no difference , or you can wire a resistor in to stop the light (i think)
