hi mate, where you from?? I know a garage in North Wales, that builds decats, and fits them for 60 quid all in!!
Just got one on my 172.
No lights on my dash, everything running sweet as.
Must say though, u have to be sure before you get a decat, the noise can become unbearable on a motorway.
And deafning loud down the high street lol

when you say about the noise, is that whens its paired up to a s/s system, or does it add noise to the standard system too?

They sound awesome and make the car more responsive. On the td exhaust it adds a bit of a rasp to it - not much louder but when decatting an after market system it sounds the mutts! I love the Janspeed + Decat on my 182.
The emmisions light comes on now and then but i bought a code clearer from KTEC which solves the problem in seconds and the light now only seems to come back on after a long motorway trip

Oh, i did have a decat on my old 172 Cup with the KTEC stealth system and that was cool, the warning lights didn't come on one the 172 but do on my 182... Strange French wiring

I purchased a YozzaSport de-cat. Will fit with my BTB exhaust when I've got the budget in the next few months for cams,ecu,filter and re-map.
It's a nice piece of kit, a little more expensive than the other items out there. Nicely made from quality materials.
They have a very slight angle to them which allows a much better fitment of the exhaust in general.

Clio's do need a voice! Trouble is after fitting you'll be using more go go juice!

I've got the k-tec de-cat with janspeed system to but had the centre silencer taken out and its sounds even better. def worth giving it a go

It doesnt add any noise to the standard system at all and theres no improvement in power or revving. Mines a yozza decat on a standard system and its staying that way until a decent yozza system comes up for sale.
So yours is fitted to a standard system, do you have any trouble with warning lights?

It came on before i had it fitted anyway, cleared it, put the decat on, think it came on briefely then turned off again. Wouldnt worry about it turning on though.

As for decats, i found that it invalidated my insurance & as such was not a risk i was willing to take, so beware!

Im only going to use the decat on track anyway, cant do with the noise

Beware most trackdays are 98db max!

Tell me about it, even enforced at the Nurburgring now, they have sound sensors randomly located around the track too so you cant get away with just keeping your foot off the gas at the start.

Has anyone got access to a DB meter? As it would be interesting to know what approx noise a Clio makes with after market exhaust and De-Cat. I know it won't be the same on all cars but it would be good to have an idea for track days etc.
