I'm trying to keep 25k for when HoW drops - and levelling up my vanguard marks a bit. Sadly though I'm away this weekend, so doubt I will be able to!
If you have any vanguard or crucible commendations, you can trash them for XP with the update as it is a currency which is being phased out. I have about 25 in total so with the nightfall bonus xp boost, should be able to get up quite high in reputation levels with the new vendors

Im totally gutted my internet went down

I was just going to use the last week for getting ready for HoW. Im not going to be on until the 22nd so should make the start of TOO, will just need to do POE over the weekend.

I managed to edge all my factions on my main account and i have almost 40 post messages to hand in once the DLC drops. I was hoping on making at least level 33 by the friday but it looks like i will be playing catch up for a change.

Yeah sorry there was no space last night in our game, we actually did the confluxes on the first attempt with 5 people (1 was level 29) but then took about 10 attempts on Atheon for various reasons. As usual, i got sod all (another ship...)

It was a tad frustrating. I think the combined weapons of our lot is a bit lacking. That and the lack of experience in playing Crota all the way thru.

I couldn't work out where we were going wrong in the Deathsinger. I think each time at least one person died before it kicked off, which didn't help us. Never mind!

Deathsinger is quite easy if you have the right strategy and gear - generally it is better to jump up to snipe the wizards from the boomer platforms, then send down one person each side to take out the shriekers whilst the other 4 start picking off the adds. Once the deathblast has passed, everyone go to the same side and all concentrate on taking down knights until she starts singing. Ideally have at least one titan with a defender shield on, set to blessing of light and wearing helm of the saint (to confuse enemies)
If you all come from the same side then you are a lot stronger and inflict more damage. I'm annoyingly away this weekend until sunday evening but have 2 checkpoints after the confluxes on Vault of Glass so happy to share them when I'm back

Maxed out my ice breaker last night gradually building things up, my defence is at 1516iirc, I have 4 defence upgrades left and all my defence is maxed, although I have no exotic armour. I used to have an exotic helmet but the rating wasn't as high as the legendary one I'm currently rocking.

"Truth" is the exotic weapon that Xur has this week.

Truth is good - worth buying. Also if you're a titan, get the helmet. You will need that for Crota on hard as it replenishes health with orbs (unless you get the raid helmet with the same perk roll - seems quite rare though as I've only had this drop once after almost 70 completions)

Hmm, I have Hunger of Crota, is it worth getting over that?

I'll probably get the helm, even though my Titan is level 4!

Yeah it is worth it - HoC is solar, Truth is void. You need to get a weapon type with each element. I have at least 5 different solar rocket launchers, each with a slightly different role (although Gjallahorn is definitely the best overall, by a mile!)

You'll never believe this, but whilst doing a bounty, I got a purple engram - it was Truth! That's some Strange Coins saved!

With regards to elements, is it true that the element advantage only comes into play when taking down an enemies shield? After the shield is taken down, solar weapon has no advantage over void weapon (same damage rating) , against a solar enemy, for example?

I thought it was just an outright damage multiplier? As in shield and enemy?

In nightfalls, weeklys and the new Prison of Elders though, the burns come into play - so even if it looks like an enemy has no shield, an element for that burn still does bonus damage. Confusingly though, even if it says it is say void damage one week, you can still get enemies which have different element shield. Captains and shanks are particularly annoying!

With the Witcher 3 coming out soon I'm not sure if I will be buying the new DLC or not

Get them out of a HoW bounty chest? if so they won't decrypt until the dlc goes live on tuesday (i've got some i just sling them in the vault)
