Got a letter this morning from my local Renault Dealers saying as a valued customer we are offering you a FREE VALET includes wash and wax glass clean and vac the inside plus wheel and tyre polish,great I thought then read on and it says this should only take an hour! sounds like a pukker job. Still I could book it in for Saturday to save me throwing a bucket of water over it ready for FCS

i didnt believe him at first, so he went and got me the bottle and said:

"only costs about a quid from asda"

great lol based on that i wouldnt ever let renault clean my car for me. even when it went for some warranty work i demanded they left it dirty

I washed my car just before I took it for its service at Renault, and I specifically said FFS dont bother cleaning it!.....

.....suffice to say when I picked it up it had been "cleaned". Christ knows why.

By the looks of it with a brillo pad and some water and silt dredged from the bottom of the Trent.

I leave a printed note covering my dials in capitals saying "PLEASE DO NOT CLEAN MY CAR."

Sure they might think it is a little bit extreme but at the end of the day it would cost me time and money to fix their "work".

Yep, the times my 182 has been in for warranty work i specifically ask for the job card and have them right on it 'DO NOT WASH' then i sign it.

No gritty old sponge is washing my car!!
