Diagnostic Results - 172 Cup :(

  Renaultsport Clio 172 Cup
Long time since I've been on here, but some of you might know that I have had a problem with the car.

About 4weeks ago I was driving back from work when my passenger side alloys started shaking and the steering wheel was juddering also. I checked where I thought the problem was coming from and there were no visible sign's.

Since then I haven't drove the car as I was waiting for a mobile techy (Craig) to diagnose the faults as it was no longer starting either.

This is what came up:

257 - Throttle valve position sensor circuit x2
293 - Supply after relay
305 - Programming throttle limits
97 - Circuit actuator relay

Craig spent about 2 hours checking over the car for the faults, it seems as if there is no spark or fuel injection.

Craig sprayed some Fast Start in, and it still didnt work.

Has anybody else had a problem with any of the above? And if so please advise how this was sorted.

I would also just like to say thanks to Craig, top bloke and he literally tried eveything possible with relays, fuel pump, fuses, throttle bodies ect.

Cheers

Oh and to add insult to injury, the reason my steering was juddering was becuase 2 wheel bolts had come off! We jacked the car up and the wheel was virtually hanging off! I reckon some c*nt tried to pinch the alloys whilst I was at work. I dont expect anything less from 5ways in Birmingham though!

Lucky to still be alive tbh :\

Sounds like they were actually trying to steal the car bud. You would take the passenger wheel off to gain access through the wheel arch to the battery wiring and ecu wiring. If you are so inclined there are ways to take the alarm inactive. You wouldn't get it started easily that way but you could tow it away without the alarm doing its song.

Just a quick update on this. I had it Towed to a Renault specialist today who have diagnosed there is no fuel going to the injectors. They are saying the computer will need to be looked at, and are ringing around to get quotes. :( I don't like Renault's anymore
