Difference between MK1 172 and MK2 PH1?

Sorry about this noob question, but how would I know the difference, I'm still trying to figure out which one I own?

theres mechnanical differences but i wont go into detail lol

those 2 terms describe exactly the same car.

Mk1 172 - first that was made hence Mk1

Mk2 Ph1 - refers to the model of the car, its shape etc...

Yep, I think Middo make a mistake...

Same 'shape' of car basically, different model. The standard Mk2 Ph1 has slightly different headlights (not dual) and a different bodykit, wheels, suspension, engine, etc, but the Mk1 172 is actually a Mk2 Ph1 172.
