Valver all the way!!!

A mint late naples one if you can find one would be ideal!!!

Blacks nice too!!!;)

i think phase 2s got theire seats from the willy...but recovered. Prefer phase 1s though...similar the GTT seats IIRC.

  Fiat Coupe 20v turbo

Losers!!;)

The valvers are very good motors and I would love to have a 2.0 valver if only for the stealth and cheaper insurance.....it still wouldnt have the same special feel as a williams IMO.

Agreed! Although id love to drop a willy engine in mine.

u have to be able to afford the insurance on a williams is the problem. valver is group 12, willy is group 18! oh and the only green valver ever made is the best colour!

oh and im selling it ;-)

  Williams 3

I too found the insurance to be the main decider between buying a willy or a valver, and together with the additional cost of purchasing a willy, it was valver or nothing!

Most of my friends whove had a drive of my valver (and have never been in one/driven one before) said they thought it held the road well in comparrison to other sporty hatchbacks, liked the leather, loved the grunt of the engine and were suprised by the quickness in acceration through all of the gears.

In short, I think most people would be quite impressed with the valver for the lesser amount of money - especially if it is the first time you are thinking of owning a hot car. The williams is really just more specialist in my opinion, a very nice car - and if your passionate about owning one then yes, definitely go for one!

However, if its more that you want a relatively quick car (that will give most other non-renault hatchbacks on the road a good race) and turn a few heads, then the valver is more than adequate in my opinion.

Anyhows, whichever you decide upon, im sure youll be very happy!

Pah! You Williams owners thinking you have the better car...fools! ;)

Seriously tho, i think the main thing between the cars is the power issue but im waiting for this inlet manifold that BenR is doing - hopefully that will see an end to much of these discussions as it will even things out. Granted a willy could have one of these too but the stigma you boys suffer about modifing will stop most of you from doing so! See the light; the way forward is a fully modified 1.8 with that lovely 4500rpm kick - none of this lazy mans ooo...the low down torque is fantastic 2ltr rubbish... :D

I thought the valver was group 16 and the rsi group 12?

valver is more of a geezer car cos you have to rev it high to get it to perform, also get one with leather and its lovely.

Where as get a williams park it outside and your done, youd be too scared to mod it as it will lose value, wheres the fun in that?

People often say to me thats the williams isnt it? and my valvers black!!!

Williams are great but boring and you would have to have a deathwish to use the power on public roads to really see the difference, they are overpriced too.

whos scared of modding a williams lol, i got coilovers/full exhaust system/decat/braided hoses/cams on way/ecu to be mapped/oh non-standard radio ;) lol

modding the williams isnt a problem as long as there the rite mods!

my sister drives a valver and she dont know sh*t on cars but even she noticed how much better it was compared to her valver.(and the williams was std then)!! ;)

bring on the throttle bodies ;) 2.0 kick ass hehe

Insurance I guess is the deciding factor for a lot of people.. I could have had a Valver and insured it for half (and then a bit) of what I do my Williams..

I did want a Valver originally (cost, again..), but two people from here both said "If you can afford a Williams, get one.. else youll only want one eventually!". Both had owned/currently own 2.0 Valvers in the past..

On the other hand, Ive never driven a Valver.. so cant compare them directly.

agreed, lmao at all the 16v owners gettin all defensive, and i cant believe the 16v owners saying they wouldnt swap theirs for a williams!! wtf? id take a willy over a 16v any day of the week! so would 97% of anyone prob

most people dont seem to want to mod the Willy as its great looking as standard, so I can see why a valver would be a prefered choice, plus you can always put the 2.0 and the Prima kit on it with those even bigger arches :D. Also if your not a fan of the alloys you can change em... try doing that to a Williams if your on this site, youll be chastised! (rightly f**king so too IMO!). I would however mod the engine to hell and back without any guilt...

Oh, cant remember who said about the 4500 rpm kick, but you get that in the willy at 2500-3000rpm and again at 4500, so its not all bad... just a shame you cant rev the nuts off em like the valver.
