dipbeam bulb 172 bhp

trying to do up my sons 172bhp clio. can anyone tell me what bulb goes in the left hand headlight assembly?
side light works ok and main beam but driving dip beam light has failed. no glass round fillament its the domed lens one and currently
the right hand one is a bright white, would that be a zenon or hid? as its a parts turn to undo, thanks

Yeh it won't be then, they only had 169 from the factory, and they very rarely get any where net that. Probably 160 if he's lucky.

Im pretty sure the bulb is H1 though

Will be an xenon bulb - though could be the ballast pack that has failed - will neex a bit of investigation my friend.

It's a D2S bulb

Try hid direct on eBay.. 16quid a pair.. They are £148 from Renault for one bulb.. Lol

thanks, probably is hid as no glass surround to filament,Ive not had dealings with hid so at mercy of them. would it be ballast box or bulb itself?? ballast boxis my sons idea but he is flat on his back in hospital.

I'd try the bulb first, put the one from the other headlight in the faulty one to prove the if the ballast is working. If it works then new bulbs it is, if not it could be the ballast or even the igniter which is the black square part on the back of the bulb
