directline - awesome service

first time ive ever had soemthing good to say about an insurance company!

last year i was with bell, who when i put my mum and sister on as additional drivers it put my premium down loads. so i did the same this year automatically on all the quotes i was getting.

directline were cheapest at £905 (bell wanted 1500)

anyway, bought the policy. then the next day my DVLA docs come back through, to put my old reg plate on. rang up to get the reg number changed and the woman on the phone answered with me being on hold for only a few seconds was really down to earth/friendly and did that.. i was shocked as everywhere else theyre just miserable f***s. this woman actually sounded like she was trying to chat me up.. haha

today i did a quote on directline website without my mum and sister on as additional drivers and it brought it down £150, to £750ish!! i was quite shocked so just rang them up, got answered practically straight away and the friendly cool bloke on the end just made the changes and has refunded me 150 something £. mentioned using the £150 to go out and have a good weekend. ha

spot on. well impressed with their service so far.

so
clio 182
21 years old 3 years no claims
£750

thats 1k cheaper than when i was 20! lol

yeah Directline are great I was 22 and looking for a new car after leaving uni just about the time they brought that named driver no claims discount in and i had been driving my mums car as a named driver for 5 years so I was able to get 2 years NCD and only pay £583 p/year for a 2003 RS clio 172. Made my life a lot easier and a great progression from my 1.6 escort.
