Dirty Engine Cover

Does anyone have a good method of cleaning the plastic engine cover on a 182? Mine is pretty mucky and I have tried cleaning it with a wet cloth but it hasn't really achieved much!

brake cleaner sray it on and wipe it off

Autoglym engine and machine cleaner . If the dirt is baked on agitate it with a soft nail brush .Then hose it down .

After Engine and Machine cleaner give it a wipe over with some Klasse All In One Polish and it should look good as new.

take it off 1st and then do rich's method , leave the autoglym stuff on a bit longer on stubborn stains , may need a soft brush to work them over .

any way of removing burn marks ? i found my engine cover down the front of my engine bay lodged agaist my radiator.

its black now.

i cleaned my engine cover with a wee bit of cif! worked wonders
