disabled UAC

Now I've disabled UAC on my vista laptop I have an annoying little windows security alert icon and occasional popup telling me its disabled. Like I didn't know!
Is there anyway of getting rid of the icon without disabling all the alerts? i.e anti virus/ firewall etc. warnings too?

Go to the Security Center, on the left click on "Change the way Security Center alerts me" and click "Don't Notify me, but display icon" or the same but "don't display icon"

Just visit it occasionally if you want to make sure things are tip top
