My pal has some spare standard springs laying in the garage... we were wandering, if we were to cut them down (40mm) would they still be ok to put back on the car or shall i just fork out for proper ones?

I know majority of you will say fork out but im just curious.

cheers

nope or you'll get them popping out the spring seats over bumps.. makes for a bit of a scary experiance..

lowering springs are the same length as standard but the height difference is engineered in to the tension on the spring

Have not even read the post, but i am sure the answer is no, dont even think about it.
