DIY wheel refurb

Car  Clio 1.2
Hi all, recently refurbed my wheels using Jungle Jims guide (quality guide so thanks for that :approve:). Decided to go colour the wheels in Graphite Grey and as much as I want to say I did all the work, a mate of mine did almost everything and it was done using rattle cans :rasp:.

Anyway here are the photos, bring on the needs coilovers comments!!

Yeah..... that wheel was b******d, the lip was completly recked so I had to build it back up again. Not the best I admit but for the budget that I had it had to do... and it was the first time I used filler.

Should have grinded that lip down instead of building it back up.

Nice job mate, I attempted it but gave up on the first wheel lol

I've been tempted to Refurb Wheels in the past but just decided to pay and get them done cos I'm too lazy for such a major job.... Needs C

entrecaps ;)

glad to be of service mate, good colour choice too :) (same as mine)

nicely done mate! i've read jungle jims guide as well and was thinking of doing my wheels.

how much did it cost you in materials and how long did it take, cheers.

thanks mate.

Erm cost me around £45, and took a couple of evenings, once the wheels are sanded the spraying is the easy part.

thanks muchly. might give it ago in the near future. i like the colour you have used, where did you buy your rattle cans from?

Primer and laquer i got from a local shop because i wanted high build primer and halfords didnt have any and i have heard the there laquer isnt very good, but the colour I got from halfords. Peugot graphite grey mate.

Nice one mate. Clean up your calipers or repaint them and then get it slammed and leave it. Great car!

Thanks mate, yeah i will put another coat on when it gets warmer :rasp: and hopefully i will have the funds to get it slammed next month.

I've been thinking about having two of my wheels refurbished but I'm worried they will then look slightly different to the remaining to. Do refurbed wheels look obvious or is there no telling the difference? I guess it depends on who you use.

Suppose if its done properly then you wont be able to tell but if you want them to look exactly the same then got someone professinal to do them.
