Yes I believe so, but doesn't work am I correct in saying that the 1 position on the stalk should activate them?
Thanks

Yeah it should. I think you can turn the auto function on and off though. Although that might just be the lights. Someone else might confirm that though.

Lol. Well on the subject of cockpit switches. The picture of the heated window on the climate panel - is that for the rear? My auto con light comes on with that :/

No that directs the blowers to the windscreen, and activates the air con to demist.

The rear window switch is the one at the top on the same panel as the hazards

The auto wipers can't be turned off and the sensitivity dial does sod all on mine,
no matter where I turn it the damn things have a mind of their own, sometimes one drop on the windscreen sends them spastic,
other times it can be pissing it down and the wipers won't come on at all, I do know that turning the wipers fully on then back to intermittent
usually fixes their insane moods, but coming to a standstill at the lights usually means they stop working until you set off again.

In the 7 years of owning my Clio, I still haven't really figured the damn things out.

I think it comes down to luck of the draw with them.
On my old 172 they worked perfectly almost all of the time. However on my 182 they were s**t from day one. I've tried different gel packs, cleaning and reseating it and it was still the same (or worse!).
Eventually ended up breaking the whole bracket from the window (by accident) so stuck it back with some Sugru and now it just works perfectly like a normal intermittent wiper lol.

In light drizzle I tend to use the manual pull on the stalk when the auto wipers have too long a gap,
although these's nothing I can do about it's spastic mode from a single drop.

They can be turned off mate, just put your wiperstalk in the very top position?

I've had 3 cars with auto-wipers and my latest Clio is the only one where they've actually worked properly. I'd find it hard to go back now I think... same with auto-lights.

You have to turn the clio wiper setting to 1. Thing is, this resets every time you start the car so if you leave it on setting one and turn it back on the next day you then have to turn it off and then back to 1 again for the auto wipers to be honest. It's just instilled into my head and I automatically do it every time I get in the car.
