Do i need a new exhaust mount???

Just had a geek under my car as on my new cat-back exhaust system the backbox part is sitting a bit low

Heres the pics

Anyone know where i can get a new mount thingy from???? or how i can adjust so that the exhaust can not be seen?

its a good reason to go and get a yozzasport system now! standard zorsts rust through or just fall off. they're poop basically. get a new one, don't ***** about mate, not worth the hassle

its a brand new system (not standard), like i say its just been fitted but its hangin a bit low, just want it adjusted really!!! the sound of it is awesome mind

Check the bend where the exhaust from the Cat connects to the backbox. See if there is any rust on the section (its literally just infront of the backbox). If there is, it may be better to get a cat-back exhaust as thats where most fail. My old one lasted 58K and apparently I did well for it to last THAT long!

Get yourself to a motor factors and but an oval mount, they're about 50p. Cut the old mount, cutting just below the centre spindle and at the top of the top two diagonals. Slide the oval mount in, folding the bottom 2 legs flat against the bottom of the metal casing. Cable tie in place and refit your backbox in the upper most hole. Job done.

sorry dont think i really made mysel clear from my posts. I've had a new catback exhaust system fitted and the backbox part of it is sitting a bit low.

Don't get a new one yet. Get a chunky champagne cork, run a bit of wire through it and pop it under to support the beam. Had my one on months now.

had to get a new 1 the other day as my backbox was hangin quite low, £23 from underwoods renault in Clacton, cheaper than k-tec by about £7 inc postage

you need to order a new middle mount and back mount from renault. they have revised the rubbish middle mount so that it holds the exhaust firmly. cost you about £30 for both mounts. then you'll be sitting pretty.
