Do Turini's have a different ET depending on whether they are from a Trophy or a Cup?

Hey All,

I bought some Renault Turini’s and have just got them back from the powder coaters but had a horrible thought about whether they would fit my car or because it is lowered 60mm. I have a non sport (1.2 16V Dynamique) and am unsure whether the Turini’s have come from a Trophy or a Cup (apparently the ET’s are different?!). The Turini’s will fit on my car as the PCD is the same, but as my car is lowered are they going to scrub the arches?

Does anybody know if these will fit my car without extra modification or spacers? :S

In answer to your question, the offset is different.

Trophy offset is 45 and cup 38.5.

If they are cup offset (38.5) then you may have issues with scrubbing if what I've read previously on here is correct.
Let me know if you want to sell them on.

ahhh pooo...do you know what the offset of a 1.2 16v Dynamique is and if there is a way that I can tell what my Turini's have come off of? Sorry if this seems like a really dumb question

Believe, but could be wrong, that the ph2 1.2 are 48.5 as standard.
Not sure if the turinis have the offset stamped on the inside of the rim.
Just stick them on and have a look/steady drive. You will know pretty soon if they are going to rub.

Make sure you go with 195 tyres to give the best chance of fitting. 205's will make it worse I suspect.

yeah gonna go for 195 45 16 looking online 4 mid range tyres will set me back about £280....just hoping my tax rebate comes in this month haha

If the wheels were to scrub what would be the solution for that? presumably rolling the arches? I assume it will only affect the rear arches as the rear seems lower then the front on my car despite haveing 60mm lowering springs fitted all round

alternatively you could get some 40-45mm springs, imagen they must do them somewhere

ET 38.5 is no problem on a non-sport. I´m running 7x16s with ET 37 lowered on FK coils and it´s totally perfect. Arches are not rolled and there is no scrubbing.

Cheers pal, ive just checked the back of the rims and there's a part number "7j16-4ch38.5" which i assume means that they are ET 38.5....

Phew thanks man i have been panicking all day that i got some alloys refurbed and they wouldnt fit my car....wow next time i will try them on the car before getting refurbed haha
