ABS brakes? i noticed "ABS" on the dash so just wondered

It was an optional extra.

If your ABS light illuminates on ignition, you have it. Alternatively look under the bonnet or slam on real hard and see if it skids lol!

Have a look under the bonnet, theres an ABS box under there if you got it.

nah i dont think i have it then , it doent come on when i turn on the engine only the light with the like graph on it , and i have never seen a box under the bonnet with abs on it

when the roads are quite slippy just jump on the brakes and you can feel the abs working through the brake pedal.if the wheels lock up then you dont have it.but as previous posts have said just look for the warning light when you first start the car is easiest.

Mark, mine has ABS but Im sure it doesnt work! Locked up into a roundabout the other month and ended up going into it sideways, NO sign of the ABS kicking in.........needless to say a rather large poo stripe had gathered in my briefs when I got home!
