My cup has had loads of attention over the years.
Highlights include:
Being pulled by the police at 3am for doing 70 in a 50 then both officers telling me how much they loved the car. No ticket just a be careful.
2 guys hanging out of a car giving the thumbs up on the m25 doung 70.
When i brought the skoda for the misses 3 of the sales men where out there checking out the cup. All loved it.
My lass cant work out how my shitty clio gets so many comments. She wont even go in it.
When you see him next tell him half the stuff on his ford is French. Watch his face lolOnly once or twice got the "that's nice" then yesterday when I was on the drive an older chap walking passed with his dog stopped for a chat. Often see him driving round in a new Fiesta ST. Before leaving he said "I know they're good cars, but I wouldn't have one just because they're French" to which I said "good job you didn't buy one then and it doesn't bother me"...
So I've always been into my cars and bikes and I usually always spot the 'performance cars' while driving around. Same with most of my friends who are also into cars. When I am in my friends Golf GTi it usually gets other petrol heads turning to look at it, same for another friends Fiesta ST and his wife's VXR etc etc. One thing I've noticed about the 1*2's is they just don't seem to get noticed when on the roads. I may be wrong but the only time I have ever seen anyone appreciating the car while driving is other Clio drivers. To me a RenaultSport 1*2 looks very different to a standard Clio and stands out, but maybe that's just because I am used to them? I always thought that if you were into your hot hatches that you would know about the RS 1*2.
Yea that's a good point but I feel as though I would always spot a silver hot hatch, whatever the model, but then again I don't have a life... 😞They do but in silver/black the don't really stand out imo
Unless ph1

Whilst discussing reliability of cars with colleague he asked,"You must have had some problems with your car, it being a French car & all..." I happily told him that I'd had only one minor glitch in my 2 year ownership to date (throttle potentiometer threw up fault code - I opened up the box, cleaned contacts and problem was solved).

Car went into limp mode (limits max rpm to 3k and speed to 50mph) and the electrical fault light was displayed on the dashboardWhat were your symptoms for this?
Neighbours frequently saying I can wash there's when I finish, or have I broken it when working on it
That f***s me right off. Same old guy that does it to me.
Change the record you geriatric f**k!
