do you trust renault with your clio



nope, didnt do up my wheel bolts and made my wheel fall off at 40mph.....

not impressed.. never again!
 


if the GPS log is timestamped, then have words with the manager, i know i would if i found that out.
 


ALL garages are like this. i dont want to go into my stories as they would last for around three pages every time i need something doing at reno or a 3rd party garage they manage to fuk it up.

pls dont :confused: mines going in on monday, im gonna take a note of the milage, reset the comp so i can see what kind of driving they do....if they are not sly and reset it them selves..what else can i do? hide in the boot?
 


i would so be printing that out and showing the showroom manager!! "Oh by the way, one of your employees broke the law in my car"
 


i spoke to the service manager, he said the service technicians face dropped like a stone when he told him that i have proof that he has been speeding in my car. Dont think i will be taking it there again in a hurry
 


In a nutshell no, I always check my milage when I take mine in, dont have a GPS thing or anything like that, but this sounds like a good excuse to get one!
 


now that would be a good idea!!!! although you may want to delete any incriminating evidence of your own devices before hand!!!
 


Nah i cant trust any of my local renault dealers with my car, the last time my dynamique was in to have the sunroof fixed they dented my rear drivers side wing, (but i kicked up utter f*ck in the show room in front of loads of folks until the service manager got off his fat ass and came to look at my car, after that they were all nicey nicey with me so id chill out, they fixed it for me, and laid on a courtsey shed of a fiat punto for me).

There was also a time where my dad had his car in at on of out other local dealers getting again his sunroof looked at and they scratched the roof of the car from the sunroof to the rear spoiler!

Oh and that the Parks of Hamilton Renault franchise so steer well clear!
 


Why are they driving it at all!!!! I awlays check the mileage when dropped off and always the same when i pick up!!!

Always use renault manchester, and try deal with Service department manage Ken direct and always get very good service!!!

I found i had problems when dealing with a franchise, but main dealer seem fine

A friend of mine works for Renault.. I know what he gets upto in ppls cars.. lol... Lets just say im glad I know him..

Took it into Arnold Clark reno in stirling for a service/MOT and it kept cutting out at traffic lights and roundabouts after it came out, i took it back to them and they charged me £60 for a new coil pack which fixed nothing, took it back and they changed the spark plugs and gave me it back, fixed nothing and then when taking it back to them it refused to do it! and its never done it since.
 


Its a shame some dealerships or more approprialy some techs are like this its a common problem with most garages not just Renault. My old local Merc dealership had some issues.

I know the local Renault dealership so I know the cars in good hands its a terible shame that dealerships have to employee people like this it not like they can trace every time an employyee drives a car.

Im very lucky ... dont worry at all when my car is in since I know its in good hands! Mikey172s to be exact :D.

If in the future Mikeys not able to do it for me then Ill be beside myself with worry.

its a bluetooth GPS with a knackered old orange SPV e200 mobile phone, the software is mapopolis. that data from before is only a small sample, the data from when it was at the dealers, is nearly 700 lines worth
