Does the foam can for punctures have an expiry date?

As you know, 197/200s have a 2 cans of foam in case you have a puncture.

I haven't used mine and the car is now 4 years old. Will it still work?

Don't ever use that stuff
If you do the tyre is then buggered and you with definitely need a new tyre and the garage will charge you as it makes a mess of everything

It's still repairable even if you use it, just never drive on it flat. Do this for a living, has it got a sell by date on the can? Mines 5 years old now.
