Hi, does anyone know roughly how much its gonna cost me to get a new steering column fitted to my valver? Its got an airbag so I reckon its gonna have to be renault doing the work cus most places wont do it as they havent got a lisence to do airbags or something. Or does anyone know anywhere around dorset that would do it (apart from renault)? Thanks, Sam

Air bag makes no difference, just have to unplug it and it comes off wiht the wheel.
Infinicar did me one for £40, they are either £90 or £190 from reno, i forget which.
Technically its easy, its just a b*****d and a half to get to, defo a 2 man job, one to be under hte car and tighten it up and the other to guide it into position, think it took us about 3 hours, but hadn't done one before.
Whats actually wrong wiht it, if its just play in it you can get ti welded up for about £15-£20, and if you pull the carpet back it can be done in the car

yeh its just play mate, failed the MOT because of it!! I want to get it replaced rather than welded up really. Oh bugger sounds like it gonna be exspensive, i could do without this!! Thanks for your help. gonna ring renault tomorow, greedy buggers. Sam
You're driving a renault - you should be used to the hole in the bottom of your bank account by now! LoL

£190ish from Reno .....fitting should take no more than an hour (If they know what there doing lol)
