Right. I posted some pics of my valver a week or two back as it was getting near to roadworthy condition. By last friday I was back driving it and everything seemed to be going well, although I do know that there is an oil leak frm the engine. Then driving about on sunday evening I start to hear a whining from the gearbox, getting louder and ranging from gear to gear. So I take it steadily back home. Dad had it on the ramps this week and theres a hole in the bottom of the gearbox now
.
What do I do? Sensible choice would be to try and sell on/break for parts. But after 6 months of hard work on the thing I've become really attached and really have no interest in spending a lot of money (which I don't really have) on getting a more practical car. However, I would at least need a new gearbox (well second hand) maybe a new engine, need to get it resprayed still (Mates dad is soing it dirt cheap) and all manner of little bits and bobs. So shall I carry on and just slowly try and make the car as close to 'mint' as possible or should I take the safe bet and do what I really don't want to do... Break the car
Sorry for such a stupid thread. But I really need some opinions from a clio community here. It's hard trying to explain to the parents I don't want to buy a boring car and I'm still really attached to the clio.
