door and boot poppers

my girlfriend has a mk2 ph1 RSi and is planning on getting the doors and boot de-locked and de-handled. she spoke to clifford the otherday about getting and alarm and poppers but the system was very expensive.

has anyone got their car smoothed as descirbed and what kit are you using, where did you get it and how much does it cost.

People I know who have had it done have poppers under the door mirrors (like tvr's) Donna on here had a fiesta zetec s which was smoothed out, I think hers were there.

One other thing people do is to leave the boot lock on as a manual way of getting into the car if it all goes wrong & you can't get in (saves breaking into it)

I got a solenoid from Maplin for a tenner then another few quid for the realys I needed. Already had teh button as I fitted a smoothed scenic strip to my megane coupé
