What is it with Renault doors, you open door slowly it continues slowly then suddenly goes quick.

At this point it catches wall or other cars????????????

It's just that Vag etc when you open door, has 2 or 3 positions that door stops at,
unlike renault just swing wide open??????????

I park as far away from anyone as possible, but I always get either a heap or a people mover with 100 kids in park next to me! grrr!

On a slightly different note, me, KDF and our better halves went to the cinema a while back. Went in and the place was empty so we got a seat in the middle of the cinema. The doorbrake/checkstrap's on mk2 clios are utter toss. You have to hold on to them on a still day and on a windy one you really need to hold on tight.

Agreed, but if you're parking in anything other than a deserted runway in Baghdad, you want to be holding on to your door anyway in any car when you get out.

The people that dont are the ones that dent peoples cars in car parks. Fact.

Yes and i'm ashamed to say that my mum is one of those annoying people, she did it on my old vtr, just opened her door and whacked it onto mine, i went absolutely ballistic outside our house, neighbours probably heard it all, but it just annoys me how people have no respect for other peoples property and probably their pride and joy! You'd think my own flippin mother would take more care!!
