yay my 1st post! Im fitting double optic lights to my clio but Im having problems finding the adapter that converts the existing H4 lights into H7 & HB3. I know its made by Hella and the part number is 8ka 152 601-001? Ive contacted several motor factors and Hella dealers and these dont have it. Has anyone fitted these lights? Did they find this part? can I get the adapters from Reno, or is there another way to wire them up? (i have loads of wire and relays left over from when I wired up my fog lights). Will get some pics up soon when its done.
went too the hella web-site and if you type in the number without the - between the last two numbers that number you have are still the correct one! anyway here is the EAN Number if it will help:
EAN:
4082300096415
If you shop can get the lights they can also get the cables!!!
got the lights from http://www.cliospares.co.ukwww.cliospares.co.uk I cant find them on hellas webby, I think Ive found a way to wire them up myself, Ive got the wiring diagram. Will try later just off to Halfords to get the HB3 bulbs as didnt have them in last time.
Well the lights are on the site!!! num. : 1el 007 510 091 (left) and 1el 007 510 101 (right) but if you have the sockets for the bulbs(you can´t do it without them) just take the high-beam + earth to the H7 and low-beam + earth to the HB3 simple. Did you get the DB-lights with motor units ? otherwise the ones on your H4 lights will fit. You also need to insert a fuse in the fusebox (side of dash) to make the low beam stay on while high beam is selected....think it has a highbeam sign on the plastic cover.
Yep cheers for your help mike got them fitted and wired up like you said, simple really, thanks for your help got a pic http://hometown.aol.co.uk/Davebem/Picture.jpghere (click on link if doesnt load below)
