Download speed of 3kbs!

The OH got a new desktop a while back and I bought a network adapter thing off eBay. Got it all installed today and have started downloading Firefox for her, currently getting a average DL speed of between 3-5kbs! Probs slower than dial-up ffs!

Any ideas what could be wrong?

The problem doesnt have to be on your side.

Check that the same download speed is happening on your computer.
