downloading music....

in middle of downloading music onto my new brand spankers music player, went abit over board on napster, anyway its only 20% completed downloadin and transferring to player. if i put laptop on hibernate and not shut it down, will it just carry on when i start laptop up again? or is it going to delete all the tracks? sorry if this is a stupid question lol

should carry on if you hibernate.

Why not just leave it on to finish though?

Edit: What i mean is, it will stop while hibernated but will continue when awoke for summer.

Hibernate will stop it, but what you can do is change the settings so that the laptop has no affect on closing the lid, then close it and leave it on a table or something in another room, then it will download happy as larry all night, hibernating it will stop it, although some laptops will not hibernate if certain programs are running.

Edit: sorry misread it, unsure whether it will continue when you unhibernate...

because its taking ageeesssss to download everything, been doin it for a few hours now altho my brother was downloadin music too. hes finished now and it is abit quicker. so its ok to leave it on all nite? wouldnt it carry on from where it was stopped if i put it in hibernate?

i always switch user so its on the log on screen. force of habit i guess.
