Bit Torrent for me for the usual stuff , www.araditracker.com first port of call for torrents , then mininova , pirate bay etc ... Soulseek for music , especially some older more obscure stuff .
Mirc for all the latest music using www.packetnews.com

Newsgroups are probably the fastest and easiest way to share files. *i.e. non-copyrighted material mods. :clown

That said sharing files is a highly traceable activity. Consider yourselves warned...

I just use packetnews for the irc, especially for the latest music. Soulseeks just a peer 2 peer file sharing program for music , give it a try , its good for some of the more obscure and older songs as well . I personally don't touch limewire , bearshare and all that other crap , i used to use em back in the good old days when Napster was good and free but things have moved on since then . Its always good to have more than one option for downloading

Agree, if you are just looking for a song or smaller file, DC++ is great.

I'll second that
