I have just got my mum to renew my tax as all my documents are at home and Im currently in Newcastle. I need to drive home in the next couple of days, however my current tax disk in my car is expired.

The car is taxed but will I have any problems?

edit: obviously Rax Disk in title means Tax Disk.....:S

Re: Driving Without Rax Disk

Well if u get pulled over by the police or something and they spot that ur road tax is expired, then u may get into a bit of bother..

But i dont see why they would catch u with an expired disk on ur car, seeing as you have bought one to replace it, but haven't replaced it physically yet...

But be careful!

Re: Driving Without Rax Disk

techniqally you've paid for he use of the road, just dont park it on a main road with traffic wardens, not sure if they can impose a penalty for such a thing happening..

if you had a crash (touches wood) you have road tax, so souldnt cause a proplem..

sure someone will confirm or correct me soon enough

it's all done on comps now so the police would be able u check if it's taxed!

should not have any prob if u explan, as a check will show it's taxed
