Just remember that the trophy will cost alot when those shocks fail at bout 50k.
Either cars great tho...Of course the trophy is slightly better but ==================coilovered cup

Get the 172 Cup buy the recaro's with your extra cash and love it.
The 172 Cup is the proper hardcore hot hatch that the trophy can only dream of being.

Saying that if i hadn't have bought my cup and waited... id pick the trophy only for the exclusivity.

There aint millions of 172 Cups tho either... It is quite a hard decision really?

I've personally have the Trophy but the main reasons would be due to it being newer and looks good in the colour.

The Cup is a bargain though so its all down to what you wanna spend really. Ones newer and may hold its value better but you'll love driving both of em!!

buy the Trophy, sell the suspension and Recaro's and you've made the difference. You'll have a newer car though, problem solved. Oh wait a minute..... the whole point of the car is that it's got things on it that you can't buy without spending a fortune, more than the car's actual value...... plus when you come to sell it, let me think... 172 or Trophy....

just changing the senario - anyone know how much the original Reno5 Turbo fetches, not the GT2???? nearly double the original purchase price!!! they made only about 600 of them. The trophy = 500 right hand drive ones. We are not talking about a mass marketed edition, or even an exclusive edition, its a genuine collectors car.

Im still undecided weather to get a trophy, or a 172 cup and mod it...

Coming from the vee, i think i would want more pulling power lower in the rev range from the 2.0l, Do you have to spend silly money on the engine to get more grunt, i.e TBs etc.

Would i just be throwing my money away on expensive mods like this, or would i get more for a tidy throttle boddied/coillied/recaro'd none tyophy?(breath)- when i come to sell it.

Has anyone done it?
