DVD Camcorder

Whilst I was on holiday I borrowed a mini-DVD Camcorder, it recorded onto small DVDs (gamecube sized). How do i copy the data from the DVD to my hard-drive?

its just mpeg video surely?

I use Media Studio to capture mine, they are just DVDs after all.

Can copy the VOB, rename it as MPG and your away, but I find that you do not alway get what you expect.

Thanks for the replies guys, I found copying the contents of the DVD to my Hard Drive, then using FlasK to convert to divX format, then using Premiere Pro to edit = best way. The divX compression has hardly caused any noticable loss in PQ.
