Dvd/Cd Drive GONE! Anyone??

Any computer whizzkids out there who can help me pretty please!

I'm trying to do a clean install of WinXP but my drive aint working at all, ejects and that's it.

There is no sign of it in device manager either, im very confused.

It's a Fujitsu amilo laptop if that makes a difference.

Anyone help at all??
