Eagle F1 for £49

  996 Carrera

...from Protyre/Bath Road Tyres in Slough.

Give em a ring if u need new rubber.

They cost me £74 a few months ago from the same place.

I needed to replace the near-side front after a slow puncture developed this week - the tyre had 15psi in it when I checked on Tuesday! Looks like a pothole took a chunk off the paintwork of the wheel as well though :(

I got chatting to one of the blokes there and they told me they do the slicks for the Clio Cup series as well.

what do you rekon to the f1s? I had them on my previous car and found them a bit scary in the dry but sh*t hot in the wet

Amazing in the wet - Im gradually getting over the tip-toe style I developed while the Contis were on.

In the dry I find them OK compared to the Contis. A bit skittish at first around tight corners at speed but after I let a bit of air out of them and run a few hundred miles with them they seem a lot better.

I was thinking about these for my 172 mk1 but have heard that the soft side wall messes up the handling in the 15" profile. Anyone had experience of these on 15" wheels or got any better suggestions?

I have F1s on my valver on 15" Rims!

I have had them for about 7 months. Excellent tyres. I have yet to fault them in the dry and are sh*t hot in the wet!

On a valver!
